This movie would’ve earned a higher rank if it was not so specifically targeted for the audience that already know and play the game on the Nintendo DS.

It’s not a big deal. You can learn and train to go into the city, right? No issues. Actually, one issue. The person who’s going to train you.
It’s a bear. A talking bear.
This anime will give you a lot of digging deep and analyzing to do. Things look very superficial and just ‘cute’ on the surface with the animation also adding to it. But is that really it?
It’s not that apparent but it has a lot of underlying themes. One being social awkwardness and clique culture. So, how many can you find?

Well, our protagonist was also spectacularly decieved when his friends meant ‘picking up girls’ as ‘kidnapping’ them.
Also, turns out that the girl they’ve kidnapped is an animal-human hybrid.
So, now they have to take her to the ring where all the rich white-collar corrupted businessmen would get entertained out of her fighting for her life to defeat opponents one after another.
This anime is more than just scantily clad animal hybrid women fighting. Its promising plot, delivery, animation, and action definitely pack the punch.

Look, they don’t want much. They’re just a pack of wolves looking for the Paradise coming true, okay?
Their devotion to their purpose and pack are outstandingly portrayed in this anime which also gives us a sneak peek into the brain of someone who has some great purpose in mind.
Would they find the Paradise? What does a spirit have to do with anything? What if they’re found out as wolves? Will they be killed? Captured? Kidnapped?
Amazing artwork, streamlined plot, captivating story, compelling storytelling. A definite worth watch.

Now, as half human half monsters, the Hyper Police assumes it’s duty of creating an environment of peace and an atmosphere of harmony among the humans and beats…
Well, it’s not like it’s going to be easy. Grudge and prejudice are the main concern in such cases, a lot of humans have lost their loved ones, a lot of monsters have been shunned and stereotyped.
The Hyper Police will bring this under control and somehow create peace. Somehow.
9. Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou

Well, the result of wanting to read the last book of his favourite series, this protagonist was reincarnated as a Dachshund!
This isn’t a half humanoid character but instead an animal with a human soul. So, now the woman who adopted him has a dog that talks, can read and look at things from a human’s perspective being a dog.
A fresh comedy about how all the protagonist just wants to read but his interactions with all the quirky and intriguing characters get him into situations…
8. Uma Musume: Pretty Derby
Famous racehorses that have left behind worthy legacies, unique as they can be, are reincarnated as horse girls in a parallel world. In this life, they start their journey anew as they continue to race and perhaps relive the success they once lived through.
Aspiring to become the best racehorse in Japan, a horse girl named Special Week moves to Tokyo to enroll in the Tracen Academy—an institution that nurtures horse girls like her to become better racers.
There, Special Week witnesses the sophisticated running style of Silence Suzuka and is inspired to become a racer like her.
Shortly after, Special Week finds herself recruited into Silence Suzuka’s team, Spica. From there, she begins her path to the top—one lap at a time.
This anime is a total worth watch with all the dynamics, interactions, relationships, visuals, races and in general everything else.
7. InuYasha
Transported 500 years into the past after being used to get some wish-granting jewel from your backyard well. Just great. An unnecessary complication?
The jewel is now broken into pieces and you need to find and get all the pieces back before they fall into the hands of evil.
Oh yeah, you’re 16 and a school student without any combat training or anything. So, good luck!

6. Shirokuma Café
Shirokuma literally means “White Bear” or a Polar bear. The title perfectly describes what this cute slice of life anime is. It’s a café run by polar bears! Pandas and a lot of other frequent this place.
The service in this cafe is quick and the waiters are super duper cute polar bear cubs. The ambience is perfect for a lolling and slopping around on lazy afternoon. Food is great and is great for light-hearted entertainment.
Considering that the place is run by polar bears, it’s doing way better than most cafés where humans work.
It’s definitely worth visiting once…and again…and again…and again.
5. Damekko Dōbutsu
You know usually the plot of an anime is anthromorphic animals can’t suppress their instincts and are discriminated against?
Yeah, well this is absolutely nothing like that. Wolves could try their hardest but will never be able to actually hunt and eat rabbits. Goats get along well with lions and tigers.
These animals are working so hard to go against their human insticts to get their violent, bloody and ruthless animalism back, but well… Seems like they’re going to have to work just a little bit harder.
4. BNA: Brand New Animal
Animal humanoids always existed in the world that you live in, you just didn’t know that they did. They always lurked around in the shadows and all they wanted to exist without being captured or shot on sight.
Brand New Animal is a very captivating story of how humans are always scared when they find something new out of the blue. Everyone is trying to “get rid of the pests” while all these humanoids are trying to do is live.
Freedom seems to be too far-fetched for them. And equality? They can’t even dream about something like that.
3. Neko no Ongaeshi
Studio Ghibli seems to really like cats for certain reasons.
They seem to be everywhere! From Gigi in Kiki’s Delivery Service to The Secret World of Arrietty and from Whisper of the Heart to the Kittenbus! All the cat lovers! This Studio Ghibli movie is here for you!

2. My Neighbour Totoro
Another Ghibli production! And how could I not? Totoro is such a well-known character standing next to you on the bus stop in the rain.
This rabbit-like creature is actually a spirit that walks on two legs and can seemingly understand language.
A visually beautiful story that will keep you smiling for the entire duration. A little nervousness sprinkled here and there and you’ll be glued to your seat just waiting to find out how the story unfolds further.
An addition to these spirits, Totoro has the ever-iconic Catbus which is literally a cat bus. Like you can open the door and sit inside a cat that has a door and windows.
Definitely one of the best things you’ll do if you have a couple of hours.
1. Beastars
Beastars is a thought-provoking anime centred around themes of discrimination within animals themselves.
Dealing with the murder of a charismatic deer student at school and being blamed for it just because you’re supposed to be a meat eater.
Who murdered the deer? Why would they do that? Was it really a carnivore? Was r for the meat? Or for the horns? Was it poaching? Or just plain blatant murder without purpose? Or was it someone getting out of control?
Drama unfolds as you realize that you actually do have the urges once in a while… Urges to sink your teeth in soft juicy meat, urges to keep the prey struggling in your jaw until they stop breathing, urges to have the taste of blood in your mouth once again.
Romance ensues as our wolf protagonist seems to love hanging around a sweet white bunny? How will this relationship move forward? Considering one being the prey and the other being the predator?
The thrill will keep you on the edge of your seat but glued to it. This is one of the series where it’s three o’clock in the morning and you think to yourself…
“Just one more episode.”
