Every anime incorporates a number of animal characters in it and they’re too adorable to ignore. However, there are many anime that focus mainly on characters that are animals but behave like humans. They’re called the Furry anime. There are not a lot of anime that involve 100% furry characters. But there are some of them that do involve a bit of the “Furry” concept. 22. Hyper Police

Hyper Police follows the story of a bounty hunter named Sasahara Natsuki who is living an impoverished life. An interesting thing about this anime is that it introduces us to a world where humans and monsters live with each other. Sasahara herself is a half-human, half-cat.

Anyway, Sasahara’s duty is to stop the monsters from making humans suffer by violating their rights.

Now, Sasahara is very confused as she has to create a balance between the two societies. Sasahara works together with werewolves named Batanen and Tommy.

Batanen is in love with Sasahara but is very afraid to confess to her. They’re also teamed up with a fox demon named Sakura who has her own motives. She wants to eat Sasahara in order to complete her nine tails. This way, she’ll become more powerful. How will Sasahara deal with the unknown danger she’s in?

21. Oruchuban Ebichu

This furry anime is super adorable. In Oruchuban Ebichu, we’re introduced to a cute little hamster named Ebichu. She’s not a normal hamster. She can do every household chore one can imagine. From cooking to cleaning to laundry, Ebichu has it all covered. Now, Ebichi is always trying to please her master, the”Office Lady”. Ebichu often gets a lot of scolding from her master but she’s okay with it as long as her master is happy. This anime is extremely hilarious and is definitely one of the classic furry anime.

Loveless introduces us to a world where people have cat ears and a tail. The cat ears and tails symbolize innocence because they only disappear when a person is involved in some sort of physical relationship. There are also “Fighting Couples” among them where one person is a “Sacrifice” and the other person is a “Fighter”. The fighter is supposed to attack and the sacrifice will take all the damage.

We’re introduced to Ritsuka Aoyaga, a 12-year-old boy who is suffering from amnesia. His elder brother got murdered recently. Things have been very hard for him but they get even harder when he meets a guy named Agatsuma Soubi on his first day of school who claims to have known his brother. It is revealed that Agatsuma and Ritsuka’s brother used to be fighting partners. Agatsuma also reveals to Ritsuka that Ritsuka is under his care as his brother is no more. Now, both of them are going to reveal the mystery behind Ritsuka’s brother. There is also a mysterious organization named “Seven Moons” who might be behind Ritsuka’s brother’s death. While trying to reveal the mystery behind Ritsuka’s brother’s murder, both Ritsuka and Agatsuma grow really close than they had anticipated.

19. Aggressive Retsuko

We have another adorable furry anime series! It tells us the story of an adorable red panda named Retsuko. She’s a 25-year old corporate slave who gets too stressed out on her job. Her boss and co-workers pressurize her everytime they get the chance. She’s one of the most honest and diligent workers at her office but she still gets exploited by her co-workers. On the surface she looks calm, but there’s ful-on ranting going on inside her mind in the form of Death Metal Karaoke. It’s extremely aggressive. But because it’s the only thing going on in her mind, no one can figure out what’s happening. However, this lets Retsuko feel calm as she had let out her anger and frustration in a very unique way. She must keep her cool all the time no matter what if she doesn’t want to be seen as weird or aggressive.

Sengoku Night Blood takes us to the world of Shinga where Yuzuki had been transported after her phone started eliminating some light. Now, it feels like Yuzuki landed in the Japanese Sengoku Era, which is known for bloody wars for power and authority.

The only difference between the Sengoku Era dn Shinga is that Shinga has a lot of non-human creatures including werewolves and vampires that live together with humans.

Himemiko was the woman who was in control of both the humans and the non-humans. She made sure that there was harmony and peace between the two. However, chaos runs everywhere when Himemiko disappears mysteriously. Peace between the humans and the non-humans was no more, and they started shredding each other without hesitating.

Now, it is up to Yuzuki to find Himemiko in order to restore peace and harmony. She also must find a way for her to return to her world. But there are a lot of warlords that are proving to be a hindrance in her mission.

17. BNA: Brand New Animal

Brand New Animal takes us to the world where humans and hybrid human beasts live together. The hybrid human beasts are able to change shapes because of their “Beast Factor”. Humans are not really fond of these beastmen and they have to stay concealed and stay hidden. Anime City houses all such beastmen that don’t want any human interference. We’re introduced to Michiro Kagemori who recently turned into a tanuki. She got to witness an explosion in Anima City. She comes across Shirou Ogami who has a duty to protect all the beastmen. He is a wolf and is extremely powerful. Both of them try to unveil the mystery behind the bombing. But Shirou finds Michiro very peculiar and thinks that she might be the link between the humans and the beastmen.

16. Cat Planet Cuties

Cat Planet Cuties tells us the story of an average guy named Kio who leads a very boring life. However, his life suddenly changes when he meets a cute girl with cat-ears named Eris at the memorial ceremony of one of his ancestors. Eris reveals to Kio that she had come from another world in order to learn about Earth and its inhabitants. She decides to open her shop at Kio’s house. Now, there are a few organizations that are looking for Eris in order to capture her. Kio doesn’t know about it but the people around him are the part of the organization that is looking for Eris. How will Kio realize the danger around him and keep Eris safe from the hands of evil?

15. Uma Musume: Pretty Derby

This anime has a very unique concept. It features several racehorses that made a name because of their unmatched skills. They’re suddenly summoned to a parallel world as horse girls. A horse girl named Special Week moves to Tokyo in order to become the best racehorse. She enrolled in the Tracen Academy. The Tracen Academy trains the girls to polish their skills as racers. Special Week comes across a girl named Silence Suzuka in the academy and is greatly impressed by her. She wants to become a racer like Suzuka. She ends up in Silence Suzuka’s team, Spica and from there, her journey to become the top racer begins.

14. Our Home’s Fox Deity

Our Home’s Fox Deity introduces us to the Mizuchi family who had been haunted by monsters for a long time. Enter Toru and Noboru who are the descendants of this family. Their grandmother gives them a secret weapon that will help them combat these monsters. The weapon is Tenko Kugen who is a fox deity. Now, Tenko Kugen can take the form of a man or a woman. There is also a shrine maiden named Ko who will be accompanying Tenko Kugen and will stay with Toru and Noboru at their house. Their life is just going to get a bit complicated from now on.

13. Kuma Miko

Kuma Miko is a very interesting furry anime. It introduces us to Natsu who has been living a peaceful life in the rural mountains along with her guardian bear named Machi who can also talk. Now that she’s fourteen years old, she wants to go to a big city and enroll in a big school. How will she adjust there along with her talking bear?

12. Monster Girl Doctor

Monster Girl Doctor takes us to the world where humans and monsters are living in peace and harmony after a long war and conflict. They created a town named Lindworm where both the races lived peacefully in a friendly environment.

Enter Glenn Litbeit who is a human doctor and is currently studying monster biology. She’s running a small clinic along with her partner named Saphentite Neikes. She’s a half-snake, half-human monster known as Lamia. He treats all the monsters because of his vast knowledge. He’ll always be available for his fellow monsters whenever they’re in need.

Amagi Brilliant Part tells us the story of Seiya Kanie who is an extremely narcissistic and arrogant boy. According to him, the gorgeous Isuzu Sento wants to go out on a date with him at an amusem*nt park named the Amagi Brilliant Park. However, when Seiya arrives there, he finds out that at the site of the park, there’s nothing but a run-down facility.

He comes across Sento and Princess Latifa Fleuranza who told him that they want him to be the manager of the park. The park must meet the quota of 500,000 guests in less than three months in order to avoid getting closed for good. As Seiya agrees to become a manager, he finds out that the workers of the park are no ordinary beings. They’re Maple Landers who gain energy from people having fun. Seiya must work hard and devise new ways to get people attracted to the park before it is closed for good.

Wolf’s Rain introduces a world that is about to end. However, according to an ancient legend, when the world is ending, a realm of heaven will open. But the legend also warns that certain wolves will be able to penetrate this realm as well. Now, the wolves were thought to be extinct but they had been disguising themselves in front of humans.

We’re introduced to a wolf named Kiba who goes to the Freeze City ruled by Lord Orkham. It was a certain aroma that led Kiba to this city. He finds out that that bunch of other wolves had also been attracted to the city because of the intoxicating aroma. It is revealed that if they follow the fragrance of the Lunar Flowers, they’d be able to open a world that is ideal for them. The wolves set off on a journey to find the key to paradise. However, they’re not the only one seeking paradise. There are a lot of others who want to obtain the key, and no one knows whose hands will have it first.

9. Shirokuma Cafe

Shirokuma Cafe tells us the story of a polar bear named Shirokuma who runs a cafe near a local zoo. The cafe is open for both animals and humans who can chill there after a long and hard day at work. Shirokuma is more than happy to serve his customers and also strike up a conversation with them. He’s also grouped with a penguin and a panda. Together, they go through various adventures everyday. Their conversations are so fun to watch and there is something happening at their cafe every single day.

African Salaryman tells us the story of a Lion, a Lizard and a Toucan who are surviving their work life. The toucan usually gets into a lot of trouble because of his personality but it’s surprising that he hasn’t been fired yet. The Lion And the Lizard try to keep themselves out of trouble in order to not get fired because they really need to do the job. But they’re not really far from trouble themselves.

A Centaur’s Life is about a sweet Centaur-girl who lives in a world full of supernatural beings. All the people around her have a tail or animal ears. Himeno, along with her friends, is just looking to have some fun every day. This anime is extremely wholesome and I’m pretty sure you’ll get hooked to it.

Killing Bites introduces us to a college student named Yuuya Nomoto who unknowingly kidnaps a girl along with his friend. The girl, Hitomi, kills all his friends brutally. As he goes to an unknown location, he gets wrapped up in a battle between two human-hybrid beasts that have wagered on him as a prize for their death match. As Hitomi is also one of these hybrids, she’s able to save Yuuya from getting killed.

Yuuya wakes up a few hours ago, wishing that all that happened was a nightmare. He finds out that he got involved in a war between four powerful Japanese companies. The winner of the war will take control of the economy. Yuuya also finds out about Hitomi’s underground battles known as killing Bites and his life turns upside down like that.

5. Dog Days

Dog Days tells us the story of three friends named Cinque Izumi, Nanami Takatsuki and Rebecca Anderson who must go on a journey in order to become a part of a friendly war between the three allied nations named Galette, Pastillage and Biscotti. Cinque and Nanami are cousins. Cinque is the hero of Biscotti, Nanami is the hero of Galette and Rebecca is the hero of Pastillage.

The story opens in the human world where Rebecca is preparing for her journey to Pastillage from Japan. Meanwhile, Cinque and Nanami are also preparing for their journey in their respective Republics from England. However, the three of them are transported to the great Dragon Forest. A Dragon Priestess has been protecting the forest and reveals to the heroes that demons plan on attacking the forest and it’s not only the forest they have their eyes on. They’re going to attack Flonyard as well. How will our heroes cope with such a situation?

4. Inuyasha

Inuyasha is one of the classics from the 90s that has been a hit and it’s popular even to date. It tells us the story of Kagome Higurashi, who is transported into a demon world on her 15th birthday. She was pulled into an old well of her shrine. She was transported to the past where demons had been roaming freely in the Feudal Japan. Now, Kagome holds a jewel named the Shikon Jewel without knowing about it.

She comes across a half-demon man named Inuyasha who mistakes Kagome for Kikyou, a shrine maiden he was not very fond of apparently. He’s very aggressive towards her initially but when they’re both in trouble, he lends her a helping hand. The jewel Kagome had was shattered during a fight into different pieces and was scattered across the land. Now, Kagome and Inuyasha must look for the shattered piece everywhere because if they fell into the hands of evil, our heroes would be in big trouble.

3. Restaurant to Another World

Restaurant in another world introduces us to a cute little restaurant named Nekoya located in the Tokyo Shopping District. It serves both Japanese traditional food and Western food as well. This restaurant is extremely popular among the residents of Tokyo. However, it’s not the residents of the human world that love its food and ambience. On Saturdays, it is open to all kinds of creatures belonging to different worlds. This restaurant is closed for the public on that day. The chef of this restaurant named “Master” is more than happy to serve its clients. There is no shortage of strange creatures coming to the Nekoya restaurant and you’ll definitely love their interaction with each other in the anime.

2. Spice and Wolf

Spice and Wolf take us to the little town of Pasloe had been worshipping a fox deity named Holo who in turn flourishes their lands. However, after a while, the villagers stopped depending on Holo and stopped worshiping her as well.

Holo decided to go to her hometown located in the snowy mountains. While traveling, she comes across a merchant named Kraft Lawrence. She offers him that she will become his partner if he takes her to her homeland. Kraft accepts her offer and both go on their journey to the snowy mountains. Kraft is also getting closer to his goal of opening a shop and uses his charismatic skills to bargain and to trade his products as well. The two travel their way to the snowy mountains while also getting involved in a lot of adventures.

Beastars is the most popular furry anime out there. It takes us to a world of animals who behave like humans. There is a tension between the carnivores and herbivores. We’re taken to the Cherryon Academy where an alpaca named Tem dies in a drama club. Now, Tem’s friend, Legoshi, wants to keep himself laying low as he had been an object of fear all his life. He doesn’t want to be suspected.

He soon comes across a white rabbit named Haru whom he starts having feelings for. The two are not a good pair because of their inherent nature. But things are getting harder for Legoshi every single day. He also has to unveil the mystery behind his friend’s death. Will he be able to get out of these depressing situations?
