Harley Quinn's Perfect Egg Sandwich (2024)

Things you'll need

Ingredients

• Ciabatta bread
• 2 American cheese slices
• 1 tbsp Olive oil
• 2 Large eggs
• 2 Turkey bacon strips
• Hot sauce
• 1/4 cup melted butter
• Salt and pepper to taste

For the Lime Margaritas

• 1 cup tequila
• 1 lime
• 1 cup fresh lime juice
• 1/2 cup Triple Sec
• 2-3 tbsp Agave syrup
• 6 cups of ice
• Salt

Equipment

• Medium frying pan
• Pastry brush
• Yellow grease paper
• Foil wrapper
• Margarita Cups

Let's get started!

1. To make the egg sandwich. Slice the ciabatta bread in half and generously brush the insides with the melted butter.
2. Pan fry two trips of turkey bacon until slightly crisp.
3. In a medium pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat then crack both eggs. Let it cook for about 2 minutes or until it is no longer sticking on the panandthen flip. Check the egg white for opaqueness; the eggs should be set but not hard.
4. Place two slices of American cheese on top anduntil it's slightly melted.
5. Stack the sandwich in this order: bread, two strips of bacon, eggs, cheese and bread.
6. Wrap the sandwich in a yellow grease paper, cut it in half then wrap it with the foil wrapper. Serve warm.

For the Lime Margaritas

1. Place some salt on a shallow plate.
2. Take a lime wedge and rub it on the rim of the glass. Dip the rim on thesalt to coat it.
3. Place the tequila, lime juice, triple sec, agave syrup and ice in a blender and blend until smooth.
4. Pour into the glasses and garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
