a Few days after their encounter with Ijin, Liam received an unexpected call from him.
032, liam, and maya were sitting at the small dinner table eating dinner and listening to liams story of some unfortunate thing that happened at work “Anyways, so I was doing this grandma's grocery and then some other woman came up to me and asked me when my shift ended” he looked at Maya in shocked and disbelief
“I don't know dude seems like she was asking you out” she laughed and ate some of her spaghetti,
“but I'm sure that's assault no!?” he looked at his brother looking for reassurance,
“oh um” 032 got caught off guard and he had never experience something like this to give an accurate answer, “well I just think everyone here is weird” he shrugged
“I guess that's true” he stopped talking and ate his plate defeated.
Ring ring
“mhm? whose calling at this hour” Liam stood up and picked up his phone, In the background Maya eyed him curiously amd 031 looked confused but kept his attention on his food.
Liam looked shocked when he saw the caller id “uhhh, I'll be right back. I need to take this” and then he left to go outside the apartment because the only room here apart from the kitchen and living room belonged to 032.
“yeah… that's totally not suspicious” Maya broke the silence with her sarcastic remarks “I'm done eating, help your brother by cleaning, no? Imma see what's going on” she stood up and made a way for the exit
032 quickly jumped out of his chair and exclaimed “wait, I want to know too!” this is the most energetic 032 has ever felt this past month, what if someone got kidnapped, he can rescue whoever needs rescue, it doesnt matter who! do they need to go onto hiding? Is someone looking for them? The list just goes on, so many possibilities, his mind was running 20 miles an hour with many different possibilities.
“Noooo, right now your job is to clean the kitchen” Maya Looked at him, smiled and tilted her head, “this room better be cleaned before I come back ok?”
“But-” 032 plead
“No buts” she cut him off and pushed him back to the kitchen “clean this place”
“No, i want to know too” at this point he might as well cry, he was most likely at the verge of tears
“032. that's an order.” Maya now changed to her serious demeanor
032 stopped talking and dropped his gaze to the floor, “yes… ma'am…”
Maya walked out and she left 032 in the house, it seems like their keeping a severe secret from him, perhaps a classified mission, or a secret Allience with their enemies
032 walked up to the door and leaned closer to door, making his ear touch the door listening for anything, no matter how much he tries he can't make up what they're Saying, their voices sound too muffle to understand ‘damn Korea amd their love for privacy’ he cursed silently.
It had already been half am hour and he finished cleaning the kitchen, since they didn't own too much it was fairly easy to clean, unlike the camp, were many Of them live huddled together in tents,
Suddenly, the door opened. 032, who had been anxious and paranoid, ran out his room ready to fight against whoever tried to take them away, but it was just Liam coming back from that call.
“What happened?” 032 watched him enter the house, Maya didn't follow, she stayed outside, Liam served himself a cup of water and leaned against the sink, he didn't have any negative emotions on his face,
“Hey 032, I've always wondered why you never wanted to go by your actual name now that we are free to do whatever we want” he took a sip from his drink.
now it was time for 032 to take control of the conversation “I don't see how this is relevant to anything” he talked back in defense and crossed his arms.
Liam now looked content and excited, “well i just got a call from ijin”
“What?”
“Shocker I know, he made a proposition, me and Maya agree it's a great idea, we just need your approval” he smiled at his brother
“My… approval? Why” maybe ijin needs help fighting those guys that keep attacking him, I would love to finally do something.
“Yes! Anything! what do I have to do” He basically shouted, “where are we going. Do we have to fight people? Oh! Or is it only for Me? Tell him i really wanna help”
“Woah there I'm not finished talking” he smiled and raised His hands to his sides “it nothing like that… although it is only for You”
“Oh? Then What is it” 032 stopped ranting
“What if you go to school?” Liam said excited But 032 stayed quiet, it was so quiet you could hear crickets
“School?” 032 asked in disbelief “wait, is this some kind of secret investigation or something? Im really good at that” he said proudly
“Erm no. Just attend school, for fun And make friends” Liam smiled at him
“i don't need school, I already know whats crucial and necessary in the field, English and literature aren't going to help out there”
“Ah that, yeah so um” Liam avoided 032's eyes and awkwardly scratched The back of his head “uhh… yeah no, I'm not playing on ever going back aaaand you either”
“what!? But you said we're staying low for a little bit!” his voice started quavering and his eyes took a glassy look.
“I know I said that but I don't want us to have a life of hiding” Liam tried to fight back, but 032 was busy fighting back tears
032 dropped to floor, hitting his knees against the ground “no please this is the only thing I know, I don't know Anything else” it was too late now, the tears dropped and 032 was begging his brother to let him be
Liam stared At his little Brother crying on the floor right infront of him. 032 was frustrated and Liam was mad, not at his brother but at mad dog and anybody who Helped him ruin their lives, he slowly got To the ground and placed his hand on 032 back to try and comfort him
“I'm Sorry for not noticing your pain sooner little brother” he didn't know if 032 could hear Him right now but he needed someone to be there for him “it's not normal for a kid to want To sacrifice their lives for something stupid. I don't want you to keep living with you constantly looking over your shoulder”
This time liam slowly moved 032's hand from his face So he could hug him and 032 cried out months worth of emotions on His brothers shoulder.

032 stopped crying after a very long period of time and passed out from exhaustion, liam had him in a tight grip as to not let him go, his shirt was now wet but he didn't care, anything that would help his brother feel better
liam stood back up while carrying his unconscious Brother with ease, he was a bit small for his age yes, but that was all that disgraceful man's fault, there was never enough food that would help the bodies of growing boys and girls at the camp and that left them to be smaller than average or die from the cruelness of the camp.
Luckily, 032 left his room door opened when he came back, Liam carried him to his bed and layed him there, his eyelids Were really red and he was breathing from his mouth, most likely Because he can't breathe from his nose after all that crying.
Liam went back to the kitchen and grabbed his phone, he opened his contacts and texted Maya
Hey
You can come back now
I was just about to leave
Just come dude 😑
The only reason why Maya wasn't here was because liam felt this was thing between him amd his brother and turns out it was true.
