Hon. Thomas R. Lehmann is a judge for the 10th Judicial District Court of Minnesota in Anoka County. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Mark Dayton in 2018.
The 10th Judicial District includes Anoka, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Pine, Sherburne, Washington, and Wright Counties.
Prior to beginning his judicial career, Lehmann practiced as a shareholder at Eckberg Lammers, P.C. (2013 to 2018) and was the City Attorney for the City of Mendota Heights (2013 to 2018). Before that, he was an owner and partner at Lehmann & Lutter (1997 to 2012) and an associate at LeVander, Gillen & Miller and O’Neill, Burke, O’Neill, Leonard & O’Brien.
Lehmann received a B.A. in business from Concordia College in 1984. Lehmann went on to complete a J.D. at Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 1987.
His memberships have included the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Minnesota Association for Justice, the Dakota County Bar Association, the Ramsey County Bar Association, the Washington County Bar Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
Lehmann served as a pro bono attorney for Dakota County Legal Aid and Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services.
He was involved with the Stillwater Area Schools (chair of the School Board) and the St. Croix Valley Athletic Association (volunteer coach).
Lehmann also taught as a Business Law Instructor at InverHills Community College.
