Summary
- Anakin Skywalker, as the Chosen One, has displayed an impressive number of incredible Force feats throughout Star Wars.
- Even without formal Jedi training, Anakin demonstrated Jedi reflexes in several high-stakes situations, even as a child.
- Anakin's renowned ability to fight also stems from his power in the Force, which he has shown on several different occasions.
As the Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker was able to perform some truly epic feats using the Force, and these 10 are some of the greatest demonstrations of his power in Star Wars canon. When George Lucas created the Chosen One Prophecy, he had his work cut out for him. After all, audiences wouldn't accept simply being told that Anakin is incredibly powerful; they needed to see it to believe it. Lucas and his company were up for the task. In both canon and Legends, Anakin's natural talent with the Force is evident.
George Lucas has three theories about how Anakin was created. One involves the Force itself creating him, one involves the midi-chlorians creating him as a reaction to an imbalance in the Force, and one involves a powerful Sith Lord manipulating midi-chlorians to create him. Whichever of these theories is correct, it's clear that Anakin's creation had to do with the Force, and that's why his midi-chlorian count is so high. Because of this, Anakin can connect to the Force more easily than others - and Star Wars has shown this throughout the franchise in a variety of ways.

10 Anakin Uses The Force To Build C-3PO
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace
In Daniel José Older's novel Race to Crashpoint Tower, a High Republic Era Jedi Padawan named Ram Jomaran is deeply connected to technology through the Force. He can use the Force to diagnose and fix any issue. This was encouraged, as the Jedi of the High Republic Era believed in exploring their individual connection to the Force and unique abilities.
This Jedi power is very rare, as most Jedi connect solely with living beings. After all, the Force is an energy field created specifically by living beings. Non-living matter, at least currently, is not mentioned to have midi-chlorians in Star Wars canon.
While the Jedi Order had a more strict view of how the Force should be used by the time of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Anakin Skywalker used the same power as Ram Jomaran when creating C-3PO. Even though he was only a child with no Jedi training at that point, he was able to use the Force to guide him when building C-3PO. The fact that Anakin was able to use the Force to connect to technology shows how powerful he is.
9 Anakin Uses His Jedi Reflexes To Win Podraces

When Anakin first meets Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padmé Amidala, he tells the trio that he's the only human who can win podraces. Qui-Gon replies that he must have Jedi reflexes. While having abnormally fast reflexes may not seem like the strongest Jedi power, it's important to note that Anakin hadn't had any Jedi training at that point. He knew nothing of the Force. This means that he was using the Force to enhance his body and situational awareness without thinking about it. Usually, this is something that Jedi have to train to perfect, but Anakin did so automatically.
8 Anakin Uses His Jedi Reflexes To Destroy A Trade Federation Droid Control Center

In The Phantom Menace, Anakin destroys the Trade Federation's spaceship droid control center by blowing up the main reactor. This is another instance of Anakin using the Force to enhance his reflexes and situational awareness. Even though Anakin had never flown a starfighter before, he was able to find his way around the co*ckpit and fly it as though he'd been training all his life. While he did have some experience in podracing, pod co*ckpits aren't the same as starfighter co*ckpits. However, because of his Force-enhanced reflexes and situational awareness, he quickly discerned how to fly it.
7 Anakin Uses The Force To Create Air Bubbles

In the Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode "Prisoners," Padmé, Anakin, Jar Jar Binks, and Jedi Master Kit Fisto are held prisoner on the ocean world of Mon Cala. Padmé's helmet is broken and begins to rapidly fill with water. Anakin and Kit Fisto use the Force to create an air bubble for her to breathe long enough for Jar Jar to seal her helmet. Not only does creating an air bubble take a tremendous amount of control in itself, but they are very deep underwater. This meant that Anakin and Kit Fisto were fighting water pressure as well.
6 Anakin Single-Handedly Takes Down A Giant Spider Droid
Star Wars: The Clone Wars Movie
In the Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie, Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi are fighting the Separatist droid army when they are confronted by giant spider droids. Anakin uses the Force to take down one of these droids completely alone. This is a massively impressive feat, as these droids are much more difficult to destroy than typical Separatist droids - and the fact Anakin did so on his own is extremely remarkable.

In Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, Anakin and Obi-Wan are pursuing Zam Wesell, Padmé's would-be assassin. During the chase, Anakin casually jumps out of his and Obi-Wan's speeder, falling multiple stories through busy Coruscant traffic. He dodges racing vehicles and lands without a scratch on Wesell's speeder. He also manages to cling on while Wesell tries to shake him off by flying erratically.
This is an amazing feat. Not only is he using the Force to dodge flying, speeding vehicles, but he is able to cushion his landing enough to remain uninjured after falling onto metal. This proves how powerful he is.
4 Anakin Can Skywalk
Thrawn: Alliances
In Timothy Zahn's book Thrawn: Alliances, it is revealed that young Chiss girls called Skywalkers can use the Force to navigate through dangerous and chaotic space. They use their abilities to see a few seconds into the future to guide Chiss ships through the Chaos, a region of space known for its spatial anomalies and dangerous hyperspace lanes. Anakin could also do this, calling it "double vision." He was able to see both the present and the immediate future at the same time.
3 Anakin Kills A Sith Lord
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

In Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, Anakin defeats the Sith Lord Count Dooku alone. Even after Obi-Wan is knocked out, Anakin is able to call upon the Force to enhance his reflexes and senses to defeat Dooku. This is an incredible feat because Dooku is one of the most powerful dark side-users. He was trained by both Grandmaster Yoda and Darth Sidious, after all. This made him extremely skilled. This is evidenced by how quickly he defeated Obi-Wan. Yet, Anakin was able to kill him easily.
2 Anakin Becomes A Force Ghost Without Training
Return of the Jedi
It is well-established in Star Wars canon that becoming a Force ghost requires an immense amount of power and training. Yoda and Obi-Wan were guided by Qui-Gon's Force ghost. Yoda also learned from a group of Force Priestesses. Anakin, on the other hand, became Darth Vader before he could be trained to become a Force ghost. Yet, he appeared at the end of Return of the Jedi as a Force ghost almost immediately after his death. Not only that, but he was able to manifest as his younger self, all without any known training.
1 Anakin Balances The Force On Mortis
Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 3, Episode 16 "Altar of Mortis"
In The Clone Wars, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka Tano end up on the mysterious and dangerous Force world of Mortis. There, they meet the gods of Mortis: the Father, who represents the balance of the Force, the Son, who represents the dark side of the Force, and the Daughter, who represents the light side of the Force. At the Father's behest, to save Ahsoka and Obi-Wan, Anakin briefly balances the Force, forcing the Son and the Daughter to heel. The Father tells Anakin that he is indeed the Chosen One, and begs him to stay. Anakin chooses to leave.
This is Anakin's most powerful moment. However brief, this moment shows that he is actually capable of balancing the Force and fulfilling the prophecy. It gives a glimpse into what could have been in Star Wars if he hadn't become Darth Vader.
