This is a low carb variation on a popular Weight Watchers two ingredient dough and you will love how quick it is to pull together. We also offer a gluten free two ingredient dough variation below.

In fact, we’ve included 2 recipe options depending on the low carb ingredients you have one hand. One recipe uses Carb Quick baking mix and one uses almond flour. The almond flour recipe is gluten-free.

Whether you are following a Keto, Paleo, Low Carb or Atkins diet, or simply want to eat fewer carbs for healthy or personal reasons, this dough recipe will work for you.

What is Two Ingredient Dough?

Traditional two ingredient dough calls for the following ingredients mixed in equal amounts:

  • Greek yogurt
  • self-rising flour

Since I follow Weight Watchers, this recipe is a great one for me since it’s low in points and quite versatile. It can be made into a wide variety of items like bread, calzones, pizza crust and even sweets like cinnamon rolls.

What is Low Carb 2 Ingredient Dough?

My adult daughter (who follows a keto diet for epilepsy as well as keto for weight loss) and I put our heads together and came up with two low carb recipe variations that work for people who need to follow a low carb diet.

We have created 2 recipes for you depending on the low carb ingredients you prefer or have on hand. The first low-carb recipe variation relies on Low Carb Baking Mix, and the second uses almond flour.

Once you make this easy-to-put-together dough, it can be used in all types of recipes like bread, bagels, (like this 2 Ingredient dough Blueberry Bagel) pretzels, bread sticks, calzones, and even sweets like cinnamon rolls or pop-tarts. Click here for 15+ recipes using two ingredient dough to learn all the variations.

One of my personal favorite recipes to make is Slow Cooker 2 ingredient dough bread because it’s so easy and the 2-ingredient bagels because they are so much healthier than a typical bagel.

This low carb two ingredient dough is 3 points per serving on the WW Program for 2023.

Low Carb 2 Ingredient Dough with Low Carb Baking Mix

The first time we created 2 ingredient dough for a lower carbohydrate recipe, we used Carb Quick. This is by far the easiest method and the one that will give you results closest to the original. Because Carb Quick has baking powder and salt in it already, we did not have to add any, making this a true 2 ingredient dough.

Low Carb Dough with Almond Flour

The next low carb recipe option is to use almond flour. Since I have yet to see a self-rising version of almond flour, we needed to create our own recipe. This isn’t difficult and takes ingredients you probably have on hand, but note that this recipe does have more than 2 ingredients.

Tips for Using Almond Flour Dough

  • The dough with almond flour was more dense than the original version but still tasty, and we were able to shape it into bread or bread sticks.
  • Because dough with almond flour is more dense and higher in calories, we calculated the nutritional information for 8 servings instead of 6.
  • Also note that if you broil your bread or dough to brown the top, watch it VERY carefully since almond flour is especially quick to burn. Your bread will brown on top in 1-2 minutes of broiling.

Gluten-Free Two Ingredient Dough

Do you need to follow and gluten-free diet and would like to make two ingredient dough? Here’s a recipe.

Note: This recipe was shared with me in a WW Facebook group. I have not tested it. If you try it, please let me know how it works for you.

First, make the gluten-free self-rising flour.

Gluten-Free Self-Rising Flour

  • 1 cup King Arthur Gluten-Free All Purpose Mix
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Potato starch
  • 1/8 tsp Xantham gum
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Mix together dry ingredients.

Important! After you mix this dough into wet ingredients, let it sit for 20 minutes before trying to handle the dough. It takes time for the stabilizers added to the flour to become wet and manageable.

Gluten-Free Weight Watchers Two Ingredient Dough

We know this is more than 2 ingredients, but for those of us who live a gluten-free we know extra steps are involved in baking, right?

  • 1 batch Gluten-Free Self Rising Flour, above
  • 1 cup plain, non-fat Greek yogurt (If you need to be dairy-free, check out this plant-based 2 ingredient dough recipe that uses soft tofu instead of yogurt.)
  • 1 egg, whisked with fork

Mix all ingredients together. Allow dough to sit for 20 minutes to stabilize. Form into desired shapes and bake for 15-20 minutes at 325 degrees or until done throughout.

The whisked egg is optional but helps the dough rise and be more fluffy. This does not change the points for the recipe because eggs are a zero point food for all members.
