Tomb of Padmé Amidala (1) Tomb of Padmé Amidala (2)

The Tomb of Padmé Amidala was the final resting place of Padmé Amidala,[2] former Queen and later Senator of Naboo, after her death on Polis Massa in 19 BBY.[3] A statue of Amidala, dressed in her throne room gown, stood before the tomb's entrance.[2]

Sometime after the duel on Cloud City, the Sith Lord Darth Vader, formerly the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and Amidala's secret husband, visited Naboo in his quest for revenge against those hid the existence of their son Luke Skywalker and was ambushed by the Amidalans before reaching the tomb. Before he could enter, however, Vader was stopped by Sabé, Eirtaé, Rabé, Saché, and Dormé, former handmaidens of Amidala, who refused to let him enter into the grave so he would not desecrate it.[2]

However, Vader would not be denied. As he entered the tomb, he became flooded with memories of Amidala. Eventually, ZED-6-7 performed a scan, finding a med implant that had a traceable stamp that led them to Polis Massa. Sabé would also leave the tomb, telling her forces to continue to pursue Vader.[4]
