Did Anakin ever visit Padmé's grave? ›

On either side of the sarcophagus, a stone pot filled with red flowers stood on a column. At some point after his transformation into the armored Darth Vader, Amidala's husband, the fallen Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker came to visit the mausoleum, stricken by grief and remorse for his part in her death.

Sabé begs Vader not to open the sarcophagus, but Vader turns a blind eye and uses the Force to pull off the lid, which is carved with the image of the former queen and senator. Memories flood back into his tortured mind, the happy memory of Amidala in love and the dark nightmare of trying to strangle her on Mustafar.

For example, a case could be made that no one discussed the pregnancy because Padmé hid the pregnancy with the assistance of her loyal handmaidens. It could also be argued that the father of her child was an open secret, and rather than assuming the father was Rush Clovis, everyone assumed it was Anakin Skywalker.

What he did not see, at the time at least, was that Padmé used her last breaths to tell Obi-Wan that she was certain that in regards to her husband, "there's still good in him." Now, those words are set to be revealed to someone other than Darth Vader himself.

There, Vader was confronted by Amidala's former handmaidens, and, while the Dark Lord of the Sith, overcome with memories of his past with Amidala, found himself unwilling to kill the women, he successfully defeated them and entered the tomb.

Once inside the spiritual realm, Vader went through various trials, but eventually, he found Padmé. All indication was that Vader could have brought her back to life just like Momin did with his body. But Padmé refused to come. She threw herself from a balcony, claiming that she no longer recognized her love.

Leia's Force abilities and her lack of awareness of her true identity also contributed to Vader's inability to sense their familial connection. Vader's denial of Anakin Skywalker's legacy and his fear of getting hurt again prevented him from realizing the truth about his children until later in the original trilogy.

Obi-Wan knew, but chose to ignore it, Ahsoka did the same. They didn't really hide it that well. I don't think everyone knew the extent of their relationship, marriage and pregnancy, but their feelings weren't difficult to miss.

Anakin Skywalker never knew Padmé was pregnant with twins, and he believed his child had died with his wife. He had no idea Padmé had given birth before she died, still less that the Jedi had spirited the children away and hidden them.

After a period of tension, Maul strikes first but is quickly countered and defeated by Kenobi. Before Maul dies, Kenobi stays by his side and reveals to him that he is watching over whom he believes is the Chosen One, with Maul's last words being, "He will avenge us". Ezra and Chopper return to base on Maul's ship.

Was there any good left in Vader? ›

In reference to the title, Darth Vader was neither 100% good, nor bad. He started with good intentions but hate drove him down a bad path. Nevertheless, in the end of Star Wars the character showed that there was always some good left inside him and he returned from the Dark Side.

No. Her dying words were there is still good in him. Obi-Wan didn't tell her what happened after she lost consciousness on Mustafar.

As for why Anakin didn't return to free his mother, it's because he never got the opportunity. Relationships were strictly forbidden in the Jedi Order, and all of them had to forgo their own parents.
